3D Printed K'nex Train
The 3D Printed K’nex Train Project involved designing, analyzing, and assembling a functional, 3D-printed roller coaster train compatible with K’nex tracks, incorporating custom bogies, chassis, and wheels while ensuring structural integrity through finite element analysis.
- Designed and 3D-printed custom K'nex train parts to create a fully functional and unique train model.
- Conducted finite element analysis (FEA) to ensure structural strength and durability of the parts before 3D printing.
- Assembled the printed pieces and tested the train on a custom-built K'nex track, ensuring smooth operation and structural integrity.
- Gained hands-on experience in 3D printing, prototyping, and mechanical design while showcasing creativity and problem-solving skills.
Pantheon Revamp Project
The task of the Pantheon Project was to reimagine and enhance the theming of Busch Gardens Williamsburg’s Pantheon roller coaster by designing immersive structures and storytelling elements.
- Worked alongside James Kriz, Nicholas Kingman, Victoria Hernandez, and Nate Smith to design a $5 million theming revamp for Pantheon at Busch Gardens Williamsburg.
- Created detailed 3D models of track sections, supports, and themed structures using SolidWorks and Blender, culminating in a polished physical model of Launch 1.
- Developed immersive theming ideas, such as aged portals, near-miss rock structures, and iconic features like Neptune’s Trident and the "Battle of the Brothers."
- Presented the finalized project and model to corporate representatives, including Suzy Cheely (VP of D&E) and the VP of Rides and Attractions, receiving positive feedback and engagement.
Steel Toro
Steel Toro is an RMC conversion of El Toro at Six Flags Great Adventure, and while the project is just beginning, it will include a revamped track layout, redesigned LED-enhanced trains, immersive new theming, and innovative updates while adhering to realistic constraints for an authentic transformation.
